Basting for Spit Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Prime Dorper Lamb

  • 1 litre cooking oil

  • Juice 1 1⁄2 lemons

  • 1 teaspoon rosemary

  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 5 cloves garlic

  • 2 dessertspoons salt

  • 2 teaspoons ground pepper


Method

Mix all ingredients, except lamb, in a resealable bottle or bowl. Refrigerate if desired.

Place lamb on spit and rub with basting at intervals using a brush or spoon until cooked.
