Lamb Kebabs


  • 500g minced Prime Dorper lamb

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon hot paprika

  • 1⁄4 cup finely chopped fresh mint 1⁄2 cup yoghurt


Combine lamb, onion, spices and half the mint in a medium bowl and season.

Soak 8 bamboo skewers in water for an hour. Shape lamb mixture into 8 sausages and thread onto bamboo skewers.

Cook skewers, in batches, in a heated oiled large frying pan until browned and cooked through.

Sprinkle skewers with remaining mint and serve with yoghurt and lemon wedges.
